First let’s decide who YOU are… and what kind of life your dog will have 😄

         

           If you are:

• a fan of blankets,

• soft slippers,

• TV series,

• cozy sofas,

• and peaceful walks to the nearest café…

           that is one type of grooming.

 

           If your life looks more like:

• hiking,

• forests,

• mountains,

• mud,

• long walks,

• and constant adventures…

           that is a completely different type of grooming.

          If you are:

• 25 years old,

• full of energy,

• traveling to dog shows,

• and treating grooming as a lifestyle…

            that is one story.

 

          If you are:

• 65,

• your back hurts,

• and your hands no longer dream about spending

        every evening brushing armpit mats…

            that is another story 😄

And this changes more than just the haircut.

It changes the dog’s entire lifestyle.

 

A short-coated poodle does NOT equal an ugly poodle

 Sometimes the internet behaves as if giving a poodle

a short haircut is an international crime 😄

 Reality is a little different.

There are short trims that can look:

• elegant,

• modern,

• sporty,

• practical,

• stylish,

• and genuinely beautiful.

Sometimes a shorter trim even makes a poodle look:

• younger,

• cleaner,

• and more polished.

And sometimes…
it simply saves the relationship between the dog and the brush 😄

 

Mats absolutely love an active lifestyle 😄

The more active the dog’s life is,
the more practical the grooming needs to become.

Because:

• forests,

• sand,

• rain,

• harnesses,

• jackets,

• branches,

• mud,

• and adventures…

have a very passionate relationship with tangles 😄

Some dogs live like Instagram models.

Others return from a five-minute walk looking like they survived a military expedition.

The ideal grooming is not the most spectacular one.

It is the one that actually works in the dog’s real life.

 

Do not choose grooming for an imaginary Pinterest dog 😄

Pinterest shows perfect dogs:

• freshly groomed,

• motionless,

• fluffy,

• and probably after three hours of blow drying 😄

Real dogs:

• run,

• sleep,

• get wet,

• wear harnesses,

• play,

• roll around,

• and occasionally make truly questionable decisions 😄

That is why beautiful grooming also needs to survive normal life.

 

If you remove the natural fur coat… compensate with an artificial one 😄

A freshly clipped poodle may look beautiful.

But suddenly the dog may also discover:

• cold weather,

• wind,

• cold floors,

• air conditioning,

• and the deep betrayal of winter 😄

This matters especially for:

• small dogs,

• puppies,

• senior dogs,

• and very slim dogs.

Sometimes a jacket is not fashion.

It is simply common sense.

 

The most practical grooming is the one you can actually maintain

There is no universal perfect haircut.

There is only:
the haircut the owner can realistically maintain without losing their sanity 😄

Because good grooming should not survive only the first five minutes after the groomer.

It has to survive:

• walks,

• home life,

• brushing,

• clothing,

• weather,

• and everyday reality.

And that is where real practical grooming begins.
